CARRIAGEWORKS IS THE NEW HOME FOR CONTEMPORARY ARTS IN SYDNEY.
Built on a vision of a vibrant cultural life for our people and artists, it’s a place for creativity and innovation with a unique spirit, where artists are given the opportunity to conceive, develop and present their work in an inspiring and creative atmosphere.
The vision for CarriageWorks is to provide a multi-venue centre focused on the creation and presentation of contemporary art. With three theatres, one of which will start life as a gallery and exhibition space and three rehearsal rooms, scenery workshop and office space it is intended to create a working hub for the development of the small to medium arts sector, both practitioners and audiences.
Looking towards our future, we will provide a supportive environment for artists to engage and create their work, act as a home for arts industry partners and offer substantial and unique spaces for hire for a myriad of events and performances. There’s no other venue like it.
