WEEK 2 | PANEL
Filmmakers behind today’s awesome program of shorts weigh into the discussion about the role of the short film in Australia, along with a selection of passionate devotees and veterans of the artform. They’ll also talk about how you make the film you want to make in today’s commercially-geared, government-funded filmmaking environment. Is it better to ‘go indie’ or or to pursue traditional funding from federal and state bodies? Is it a filmmaking ‘competition’ in Australia, or a community? What are the challenges facing Australian filmmakers today, and more importantly, how do they overcome them? Hear the opinions and passionate discussion - on the record.
